The Carbine LBX and LBX Pro are pin-tumbler cam locks designed as a security upgrade for letterboxes and other compact cam-lock applications. Unlike common wafer cam locks, the LBX platform uses a C4-style pin-tumbler cylinder and can be configured for keyed-different, keyed-alike or suitable master-key applications.

- Pin-tumbler security: replaces the common wafer-style cam-lock format with a conventional pin-tumbler cylinder.
- C4 keying options: compatible with Carbine LKW9/C4-style cylinders and suitable 5- or 6-pin key arrangements.
- Keyed alike: where suitable, the letterbox can be keyed to match another compatible lock so fewer keys are needed.
- Master-key capable: useful for apartment, unit and office letterbox banks where authorised management access is required.
- Retrofit friendly: designed to replace many existing letterbox cam locks without rebuilding the letterbox door.
- Flexible cam lengths: standard kits include cams for 16 mm, 19 mm and 22 mm fittings, with additional 11 mm and 27 mm cams available.

Where it can be used
Although developed for letterboxes, the LBX pin-tumbler cam-lock format can also suit selected lockers, cabinets, cash boxes and similar applications where better key management is needed. Final suitability depends on the panel thickness, cam throw, available clearance and the existing lock cut-out.
