Whitco currently offers several sliding patio door lock families, including Mawson, Lawson, Oxley and Blaxland, along with patio bolts, flush bolts and other sliding-door hardware. These products are not automatically interchangeable. Fixing centres, strike position, door thickness, handle clearance and the existing cylinder arrangement should be checked before choosing a replacement.
The Mawson uses standard 82 mm fixing holes and is non-handed. It incorporates anti-lift pins and a self-retracting beak, and C4 cylinder versions can be keyed alike with compatible Whitco and Lockwood C4 or CYL4 products. That makes it useful where a homeowner wants a practical sliding-door lock without creating an unnecessary extra key.

Frequently asked questions
Can a Whitco sliding door lock be keyed to my other locks?
Sometimes. C4 cylinder versions of compatible Whitco products can often be keyed alike with other C4 or CYL4 Whitco and Lockwood products. The actual cylinders fitted need to be checked first.
Are all Whitco sliding door locks interchangeable?
No. Even when fixing holes appear similar, the strike, handle profile, door thickness and locking mechanism can differ. Matching the complete installation is more reliable than choosing by appearance alone.
Can you identify the replacement from photos?
Usually. Send clear photos of the inside handle, outside pull, door edge, strike and the whole door. Measurements of fixing-hole centres are also helpful.
Can you repair a Whitco lock instead of replacing it?
Depending on the model and condition, adjustment, servicing, cylinder work or replacement of individual components may be possible. We first determine whether the fault is in the lock or the door alignment.
