Whitco Mawson Sliding Patio Door Lock

The Whitco Mawson is a surface-mounted zinc diecast D-handle deadlock for suitable residential aluminium and timber sliding patio doors. Its low-profile internal handle is designed to work well where an internal security screen sits close to the glass sliding door.

Suitable applications

The Mawson is intended for residential aluminium or timber sliding patio doors. It is a surface-mounted patio door lock rather than a mortice sliding security screen door lock, so the existing door, handle position, strike and preparation should be checked before ordering a replacement.

The standard 82 mm fixing-hole spacing and non-handed design make the Mawson useful for many replacement applications, but compatibility should not be assumed from appearance alone.

Keying options

Whitco specifies C4 5-pin cylinders as standard for the Mawson. Compatible versions can be keyed alike with other C4 and CYL4® Whitco and Lockwood products. Whitco also lists 10-disc cylinder options for suitable configurations.

Finish and common ordering configurations

Whitco currently lists the Mawson in black. Common trade-pack references include:

• W540117 – Mawson inner handle with 41 mm screws, strike, outer pull and 5-pin cylinder, black
• W543017 – Mawson inner handle with 41 mm screws, without strike, outer pull or cylinder, black
• W549017 – extended snib accessory component

Exact configuration and availability should be confirmed before supply because the required strike, outer pull, cylinder and door preparation vary between installations.
