Where this model is used

The short-throw version is intended for suitable hinged aluminium-stile doors where a 22 mm straight-bolt projection matches the frame and strike preparation.

Non-lever configurations are designed to retrofit other brands of narrow-stile mortice locks, but a nominal match is not enough on its own. Abetta checks the existing cut-out, faceplate, cylinder position, door thickness, strike and frame clearances before confirming compatibility.

Replacement and installation checks

For an initial match, send clear photographs of the door edge, the lock faceplate, both faces of the door, the strike and any markings on the old lock. Include the extended-bolt measurement and the cylinder-centre measurement if possible. A worn lock may also be affected by door alignment, frame movement or a damaged strike, so the complete opening should be assessed.

Important for exit, fire and accessibility-sensitive doors: suitability depends on the complete door assembly, selected cylinder or escape hardware and applicable requirements. The final configuration should be assessed for the specific opening.
