Replacement and installation guidance
Carbine describes the locks as compatible with many existing rim night latch footprints, but a similar footprint alone does not guarantee a correct retrofit. Check backset, door thickness, rim-cylinder hole, fixing pattern, strike, handing and door/frame gap. The official instructions require a lock-to-strike gap of no more than 5 mm. Confirm required exit and fire-door conditions before changing hardware.
Drawings and installation PDFs
The original Carbine PDFs contain fitment drawings, drilling templates and mounting guidance. Use those documents rather than measuring a web image. These downloads are hosted by ABETTA, with the manufacturer document revision retained.
Local supply, keying and installation
ABETTA Mobile Locksmith can help identify an existing lock, check whether your rim cylinder can be rekeyed, and quote a suitable Night Hawk model for a Sunshine Coast property. Send photographs of the whole door, both sides of the existing night latch and the frame strike.
